Murchison City Council
The City Council acts as the legislative branch of our government, as well as its policy-making body. The Council looks to the City’s goals, major projects and infrastructure improvements ranging from community growth to land use to finances and strategic planning. Their goal is to do the very best to represent their constituents after they’ve seen to the needs of the city as a whole. The City Council meets the second Tuesday of every month at 6pm in City Hall.

Murchison Economic Development Corporation
It is the mission of the Murchison Economic Development Corporation to enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Murchison, Texas by leading and facilitating economic growth and advertising and promoting what Murchison has to offer. We will be supporting business attraction, formation, retention and expansion in the City of Murchison. Our goal is to create quality job opportunities, encourage growth and development, and make Murchison a desirable place to build a life and a business, while still maintaining that small town feel.

IF YOU ARE AN EXISTING BUSINESS IN THE CITY LIMITS OF MURCHISON AND ARE INTERESTED IN MAKING IMPROVEMENTS TO YOUR BUSINESS, YOU CAN CALL OR GO BY MURCHISON CITY HALL AND PICK UP A BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT GRANT PACKET. GRANTS UP TO $7500.00 ARE AVAILABLE.****
