Mayor Bradley Gray announces a moratorium on utility companies operating in city right-of-way.

City of Murchison, Texas, November 26, 2025 11:00 a.m. - In response to ongoing infrastructure damage caused by different utility crews within the right-of-way of the City of Murchison, the decision has been made to temporarily suspend all utility construction withing the City of Murchison, Texas. The City of Murchison has experienced repeated damage to our water and sewer infrastructure which has led to unacceptable disruptions for our residents and businesses.

The City of Murchison will have a reading of a proposed ordinance at the next regular City Council meeting on December 9, 2025 which will help mitigate infrastructure damage and ensure safer operations.
